2021 Commencement

Our campus commencement committee was challenged to plan for and present the traditional elements of graduation while abiding by the health and government constraints currently in place. As we considered our options for the celebrations of 2021, we made sure that the health and safety of our Wildcat community was our priority.

To commemorate the achievements of our Classes of 2020 and 2021 on May 8, 2021, all eligible students will be invited to celebrate with a virtual ceremony which they will be able to share with friends, family and loved ones. We plan to invite students to submit photos and videos to create an experience that gives students the individualized time they deserve to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Please review the following Frequently Asked Questions. Messaging regarding commencment will be shared in the coming weeks.

When will I receive my diploma? Diplomas are printed and mailed after the degree or certificate verification process is complete, approximately six-to-eight business weeks after the end of the semester.

Who is eligible to participate in the Virtual Ceremony? Anyone from the class of 2020 & 2021 who have met the appropriate degree requirements.

Why are we having a Virtual Ceremony and not an in person ceremony like the other campus? At the North Miami Campus we continue to proceed with caution in regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and having an in-person ceremony will not allow to have any family members attend this event. The safety of our students, family and staff members is our first priority.

What if I don’t want to participate in a virtual ceremony? We encourage all of our students to submit their pictures as you all deserve the recognition, but we understand if you do not wish too

When will this ceremony be available? The virtual ceremony will be streamed on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10:00 am EST

Where can I view this Virtual Ceremony? The stream of the ceremony can be found on the North Miami Commencement website

How do I participate on the Virtual Ceremony? All graduates will receive an email with specific details and instructions on how to submit your cap & gown photo to StageClip. Note: Submissions for the ceremony should only feature the graduate in their regalia (cap and gown).
